TruIDL Logger

What is the TruIDL Logger?

TruIDL (Immersible Data Logger) is a robust, multi-point unit designed for cathodic E-coat paint tank systems that enables electrical performance data to be quickly analyzed.

Voltage is directly related to the amount of E-coat paint film that has formed on the ware. The TruIDL measures voltage over the surface of the ware as it moves along the tank in an E-coat paint system.  Once downloaded and analyzed, run data can reveal performance aspects that normally would not be easily discovered.  These include individual anode cells that are underperforming, grounding issues between the ware and the conveyor or rack, or DC rectifier issues.

How can the TruIDL Logger benefit our system?

  • Monitors overall performance of anode cells and quantifies film thickness

  • Alerts possible poor performance, grounding, and DC rectifier issues

  • Run data is downloaded directly to an Excel file for analysis

  • Measures up to 10 locations over a large or complex ware shape

Some Highlights

  • USB connection to download data to an Excel spreadsheet on a PC.

  • Can be installed before pretreatment (with Harness extension cable or protective jacket)

  • Is available with 5 or 10 sensors

  • Optional Liquid Sense feature triggers logging once unit is immersed in paint bath.

  • Must be removed after last rinse and before ovens.
