Are Your Floor Anode Cells in the Proper Location?

Floor Anodes are better utilized when placed in the front of the E-Coat paint tank.  The purpose of the Floor Anodes is to get a paint film started on the bottom exterior of the car body very early in the cycle.  Once this is done, the Side Cells can concentrate on getting film started in the hard to reach regions of the Rocker Panel, B Pillar and interior of the body.

Another benefit of frontal placement is that the differential of highest (i.e., vertical exterior door) to lowest (i.e., B Pillar, et al) is generally lower when there are Floor Anodes (Roof Anodes too) located very early in the E-Coat paint cycle.

If your Floor Anodes are located at the back of your E-Coat tank and you aren't satisfied with the distribution variation around the car body, then you could benefit from moving the Floor Anodes to a more forward position.
