Think and act in a safe manner. Always disconnect power and use a lockout before you work on the E-coat system, or any of the related subsystems. Observe any confined space conditions. Use the appropriate safety equipment and clothing for the task. Please carefully read all the instructions listed below to familiarize yourself with the project before attempting to perform any of the work.
Place bottom of T5 ME Shell on a piece of foam.
Slowly insert the SS Electrode into the Membrane Shell. Do not drop the electrode into Membrane Shell as damage may occur. The electrode tab should be exposed 1-1/2” at the top of neck. If more than this, take a screw driver and pass it through one of the holes and twist electrode to get it fully seated.
Place cap end of the T5 on a saw horse.
Place collar end (the other end) of T5 on opposite saw horse.
Place metal brackets on neck (located at the collar end) of T5.
Tighten metal clamps to 21 FT/LBS. Do not over tighten. The electrode must be able to pass through neck so it can be inspected.
Make sure brackets are straight once they are tightened.
Place PVC brackets on the metal brackets. Note: Leave hardware loose!

Once the T5 Cell is placed in the tank, adjust each PVC bracket so the T5 touches the tank wall. Once the brackets are adjusted with the T5 against the tank wall, tighten all hardware.
